HSC graduates can apply at the  University of London through CHESS at USB

HSC graduates can apply at the  University of London from now on. Students of Bangladesh with Higher Secondary Certificate or O levels will be able to acquire immediate admission into all the University of London degrees upon actualization of the Certificate of Higher Education in Social Sciences in Dhaka. 

Universal College Bangladesh (UCB), the STS Group commodity providing global education, launched the CHESS programme at its Gulshan campus on Saturday so that HSC graduates can apply at the  University of London. Reads by a press statement on Tuesday,29 August. Professor Gill, President and Provost at UCB conveyed, “As the first higher education institution in Bangladesh to be allowed by the Ministry of Education to offer international university programmes. it has been our purpose to open the door to high quality and affordable foreign education”.

He further said to the press, “We offer programmes under the academic direction of the London School of Economics, with world-class educational content which will equip students with the skills that lead to careers as highly paid authorities.”

Dr James Abdey, Associate Academic Director of UoL Programmes at LSE, declared, “We are enthusiastic to support UCB in this innovative endeavor to enable HSC graduates can study towards the University of London and achieve academic awards right here in Dhaka.”

Prof. Muhammad Ismail Hossain, Dean of Academic Affairs, notified, “Bangladeshis from all schools and curriculums now have the chance to get a world-class UK degree at home”.

During the circumstance, students and guardians were told that those who pass CHESS are guaranteed admission into the second year of the relevant (UoL-LSE) undergraduate degree programme at UCB, meaning that the HSC graduates can apply at the University of London and achieve the UoL undergraduate degree programme in three years while staying in Bangladesh.
